In Japan, Pokemon Legends Arceus is the second best-selling Switch game, and Pokemon Sword and Shield is the second best-selling Pokemon game of all time.

Pokemon Legends Arceus is the second best-selling Switch game
Pokemon Legends Arceus, which was released last week, has sold 1.425 million copies in Japan in just three days, according to Japanese journal Famitsu.
It is now the second most popular Nintendo Switch game in Japan, after only Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
In addition, Pokemon Sword and Shield is currently the second best-selling Pokemon game of all time. According to Nintendo's latest sales figures (ResetEra), the two games have now sold a total of 23.90 million units worldwide, surpassing Pokemon Gold and Silver to become the franchise's second best-selling games.
The two games, though, are still a long way off the number one spot.
Pokemon Red, Green, and Blue, which have sold a total of 31.38 million units worldwide, are at the top of the list.
Given how ancient the three games are, that number is unlikely to rise any time soon, but Sword and Shield is also unlikely to ever overtake the trio for the title.
Pokemon Legends Arceus may have only been released a week ago, but it already appears to have a large audience around the world.
