Thanks to a major update that aims to help users concentrate better, finding the relevant chats in Microsoft Teams meeting will soon be a lot easier.


Meeting chats and chats with bots will be removed from the video conferencing tool's Chat app on Teams, offering users a much more streamlined view of their discussions.


The filter will function across group chats as well as one-on-one interactions, according to the official Microsoft 365 calendar post, enabling users remain focused on the messages that important.

The feature is currently in development, but it has a March 2022 debut date, which means it could be accessible in the coming weeks.

It will be available to all Microsoft Teams users across web and Mac devices, according to the roadmap.

Microsoft has already been working very hard to make MS Teams an indispensable part of employees' daily lives, providing lots of new additional features and changes to encourage hybrid work.

This includes, similar to Slack or Telegram, the option to pin messages in Microsoft Teams meeting, letting users to attach a specific message to the top of the channel so that it is constantly accessible to all members, regardless of the number of messages that came after it.

According to the latest Microsoft financial reports, Teams currently has more than 270 million monthly active users (MAUs), up from 250 million MAUs only six months ago.

According to new research from software firm StarLeaf, nearly all (97 percent) enterprises now consider video conferencing solutions like Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams meeting to be critical to their operations.

More than half of the companies polled (57%) said they wouldn't be able to work for more than an hour without access to their communications tools, while 27% said they wouldn't be able to operate for even 30 minutes.
